New traffic signs may appear on the roads of Ukraine
In the near future, a new traffic sign in the form of a white diamond on a blue background may be introduced in Ukraine. This initiative was proposed by the head of the "European Solidarity" faction in the Lviv City Council, Peter Adamik.
The proposed sign is intended to designate lanes for taxis, electric vehicles, and cars carrying at least two passengers. If a vehicle has only the driver or one additional passenger, those vehicles will be prohibited from using that lane.
Adamik pointed out that similar traffic signs have already proven effective in Europe. They help reduce traffic jams and accidents, lower harmful emissions into the atmosphere, and encourage citizens to use public transport. Currently, the municipal deputy suggests implementing this innovation in Lviv first, and then extending it to other cities in Ukraine.
