Last Sunday, November 17, the Deputy Head of the Patrol Police in the Odessa region was involved in a traffic accident. However, false information about the details of the incident is being circulated in the media.
This was reported on the official Telegram channel of the Patrol Police in the Odessa region.
The published message states that on that day, at the intersection of Nikolai Lysenko and Alexei Vadatursky streets, a traffic accident occurred involving Mitsubishi and Suzuki vehicles, with injuries reported.
The driver of the Mitsubishi was traveling along Alexei Vadatursky street towards Isaac Rabin street and failed to yield to the Suzuki vehicle. As a result, a collision occurred.
The Patrol Police confirmed that a passenger in the Suzuki was indeed the Deputy Head of the department, who sustained injuries. Additionally, his wife, who was driving the vehicle, was also injured.
"It should be noted that the driver of the Mitsubishi was under the influence of alcohol. The driver of the Suzuki, according to medical assessments, was sober. The circumstances and details of this accident are also corroborated by the statements of witnesses who were nearby at the time of the incident", the message states.
The Patrol Police added on their Telegram channel that the investigation of the accident was handled by the investigative-operational group. The investigation is still ongoing. Furthermore, the police urged the public not to spread false information.
