As a result of a triple car accident in Mykolaiv, two individuals lost their lives: the police have detained the driver of the Infiniti.
In the accident that occurred in Mykolaiv on Friday, January 24, two people were killed.
This information was reported by the police of the Mykolaiv region.
As previously mentioned, around 1:40 PM in Mykolaiv on 1st Line Street, at the intersection with Mira Avenue, the vehicles involved were an Infiniti Q60, a Skoda Fabia, and a VAZ-2106 "Zhiguli.".
A 69-year-old female passenger of the VAZ died at the scene. It was later reported that the 74-year-old driver of the same vehicle passed away in the ambulance.
The investigators have classified the incident as a criminal offense under part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to "Violation of traffic safety rules or transportation operation by individuals managing vehicles, resulting in the death of several people."
The 32-year-old driver of the Infiniti has been detained by investigators under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
“The transportation crime investigation department requests that any citizens with information about the circumstances of the accident contact us at: 0(99) 725 23 00 or 102,” – the statement reads.
