A tourist in Norway was expelled with a 5-year entry ban for dangerous driving
In Norway, a foreign tourist was fined nearly 800 euros and expelled from the country with a 5-year entry ban due to dangerous behavior behind the wheel.
This was reported by NRK, as stated by "European Truth".
A tourist from China, who visited the Norwegian Lofoten Islands, was fined 9,000 kroner (almost 800 euros) and expelled from Norway with a 5-year entry ban for reckless driving that could have led to an accident.
The incident occurred on New Year’s Day, but information about the decision only reached the media now.
The driver, navigating a snow-covered road, was swerving chaotically, often driving in the middle of the road or on the opposite side, which forced oncoming vehicles—both cars and heavy trucks—to stop multiple times to avoid collisions.
When the police caught up with the car, it turned out that the man behind the wheel was sober and did not feel unwell.
For the recorded violations, he was stripped of his driving rights in Norway, fined 9,000 kroner, and a decision was made to expel him with a 5-year entry ban to the country.
It is important to note that road conditions in the Lofoten Islands are particularly hazardous in winter due to the unique terrain, frequent road curves, wind, and darkness for most of the day.
