A Citroën struck a woman at a crosswalk in the center of Mykolaiv (photos available).

On the morning of Monday, December 23, at the intersection of Mark Kropyvnytskyi Street (Potemkin Street) and Maliy Morsky Street in Mykolaiv, a Citroen Jumper vehicle struck a woman at a crosswalk.

This was reported by a correspondent from "Novosti-N" at the scene.

The Citroen was traveling along Mark Kropyvnytskyi Street from the direction of Arkasivska Street (Pushkinska) towards Sadova Street. At the intersection with Maliy Morsky Street, the vehicle hit an elderly woman who was crossing the street at an unregulated pedestrian crossing from right to left in the direction of the vehicle's movement.

As a result of the impact, the woman fell and struck her head against the granite curb. She was transported by ambulance from the scene with a preliminary diagnosis of "closed traumatic brain injury."

Investigators from the traffic accident investigation department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Mykolaiv region are currently working at the site.
