The Nikolaev region police are seeking witnesses to a traffic accident that left three individuals injured.

Law enforcement officials are seeking witnesses to a traffic accident that occurred around 15:50 on Friday, December 6, on the road between the villages of Pribuzhany and Yastrebynovo in the Voznesensky district of Mykolaiv region.

In connection with the accident, investigators have initiated criminal proceedings, preliminarily under part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, "Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of vehicles by individuals operating motor vehicles."

The penalty for this article includes up to three years of restriction of freedom and deprivation of the right to operate vehicles for a period of up to three years.
“The Department of Investigation of Transport Crimes of the Investigative Management is asking citizens who have any information about the circumstances of the accident to contact us at the following numbers: 068-733-12-82 or 102.

Police are establishing all the circumstances and causes of the incident,” the statement said.

As previously reported, on December 6, there was a traffic accident on the road between the villages of Pribuzhany and Yastrebynovo involving a VAZ-21011 and a Volkswagen Golf. As a result of the collision, two female passengers of the VAZ, aged 15 and 63, and the 20-year-old driver of the Volkswagen sustained injuries. They were taken to a medical facility with varying degrees of bodily harm. Three other participants in the incident declined hospitalization.
