A new road sign may appear on the roads of Ukraine
In the near future, a new road sign in the shape of a white diamond on a blue background may be introduced in Ukraine. This initiative has been put forward by the head of the "European Solidarity" faction in the Lviv City Council, Petro Adamik.
The proposed sign is intended to designate lanes for taxis, electric vehicles, and cars carrying at least two passengers. If a vehicle is occupied by only the driver or one additional passenger, access to these lanes will be prohibited for such vehicles.
Adamik pointed out that similar road signs have already proven effective in Europe. They help reduce traffic jams and accidents, lower harmful emissions into the atmosphere, and encourage citizens to use public transportation. Currently, the municipal deputy suggests implementing this innovation in Lviv, and later in other cities across Ukraine.
