This morning, on the "Dnipro-Mykolaiv" highway near the settlements of the Bashtanka district, icy conditions formed due to snowfall.

The Mykolaiv regional police reports this.

“Currently, specialists from the Road Service are treating the roads with anti-icing mixtures. Police are inspecting the road network and coordinating their efforts,” the statement reads.

Police have also provided recommendations for drivers:

-check the technical condition of your vehicle, including winter tires;

-avoid sharp maneuvers and sudden braking while driving;

-maintain a safe distance between vehicles;

-in case of difficult situations or accidents, immediately call 102.

Law enforcement also urges pedestrians to be cautious, cross roads only at designated places, and wear reflective elements to be visible at night.
