Three Ukrainian nuclear power plants have "significantly" resumed electricity production after a temporary decline due to Russian attacks.

This was reported by the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi.

According to him, the Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, and South Ukraine nuclear power plants continue to operate under challenging conditions due to constant Russian shelling. Currently, 8 out of 9 nuclear units under Ukrainian control are operational. However, some external power lines remain disconnected due to Russian attacks.

Grossi added that IAEA monitoring teams are observing nuclear safety at the plants despite aerial threats. Recently, international experts witnessed 17 Russian drones flying near the South Ukraine nuclear power plant.
