Sweden and Denmark will acquire over 200 CV90 armored vehicles: find out how many will be delivered to Ukraine.

Sweden and Denmark have signed a contract with BAE Systems Hägglunds for the procurement of 205 CV9035MkIIIC armored vehicles.

This was reported by the press service of the Swedish government.

Under contracts totaling approximately $2.5 billion, Denmark will acquire 115 new CV90 35MkIIIC vehicles, while Sweden will purchase 50 BMPs.

At the same time, the governments of both countries will jointly finance the procurement of 40 new vehicles for Ukraine.

It is noted that the contracts with BAE Systems Hägglunds will be funded from the resources previously provided by Sweden and Denmark. The total value of the contract amounts to 25 billion Swedish kronor.

“These investments will enable the acquisition of more Swedish armored vehicles, making Europe, and especially Ukraine, safer. The Swedish defense industry is a unique and powerful asset for our national and collective defense capabilities,” stated Defense Minister Paul Jonsson.

He added that the armored personnel carrier has received high praise for its use in Ukraine. In particular, its level of protection has saved soldiers' lives during direct hits.
