Россия теряет артиллерийское преимущество над Украиной, сообщает Sky News.

According to Western officials, Russia's ability to dominate the battlefield with artillery has significantly diminished, but it compensates for this by using aerial bombs.

This is reported by Sky News.

It is noted that the ratio of shells fired by Russian and Ukrainian forces is now 1.5 to 1 in favor of Russia, whereas at the beginning of the war, this figure was at least 5 to 1 or even higher.

The main reasons for the reduction of Russia's significant artillery advantage are:

  1. Production limitations in Russia, as its defense industry faces challenges in manufacturing new ammunition due to sanctions.
  2. Logistical difficulties arising from issues with transporting ammunition by rail to the front line.
  3. Ukrainian drone strikes that successfully and precisely target Russian ammunition depots, including within Russian territory, as well as storage sites for North Korean supplies.
  4. Increased and expedited Western assistance to Ukraine, which has contributed to strengthening the Ukrainian Armed Forces' arsenal.

In contrast, Russia has started to actively utilize guided bombs, which, according to Western officials, have a "devastating effect."

As reported, although Russia continues to capture certain positions in Ukraine, these successes come at a significant cost to the Russian army.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that Russia is "saving" North Korean troops and not deploying them in direct combat. Putin does this to potentially recruit more soldiers from North Korea in the future.
