The Cabinet has approved the procedure for calling imprisoned individuals to military service.

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the procedure for registering convicts for military service during its meeting. This decision aligns with the Criminal Executive Code of Ukraine.

According to government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, the Cabinet has established the process for registering convicts as conscripts and reservists, their passage through military-medical commissions, and professional psychological selection; as well as a list of territorial centers for recruitment and social support that manage the military registration of individuals released on parole.

The government has also approved:

• The procedure for escorting individuals released on parole by the National Guard to the territorial centers for recruitment and social support, as well as to the relevant units of the Armed Forces for signing a contract and serving in the military.
• The procedure for interaction between territorial recruitment and social support centers, correctional facilities, and the National Guard.
