Croatia is preparing to allocate another package of military-technical assistance to Ukraine. The 12th package of such aid is set to be approved on January 30.

This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, during a press conference with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.

"I thank Prime Minister Plenković for announcing tomorrow's decision. I hope it will be adopted and that Ukraine will receive the 12th package. We are grateful for the preparation of this package, which is currently crucial on the battlefield," emphasized Shmyhal.

The Ukrainian Prime Minister expressed gratitude to Croatia for its military assistance and support in implementing new sanctions against Russia, highlighting that they "remain the number one tool for weakening the aggressor."

According to Shmyhal, there is an agreement to explore the possibility of establishing a joint Ukrainian-Croatian working group to monitor the illegal activities of the Russian "shadow" fleet.

Shmyhal also proposed that Croatia store gas in Ukrainian facilities.

"31 billion cubic meters could become a robust 'gas safe' for Europe, where Croatia can store its own gas resources, as well as resources from partners that Croatia receives through LNG terminals on the island of Krk," noted the Prime Minister.

The head of the Ukrainian government expressed confidence that this area of cooperation holds significant prospects for both countries. "We also discussed these prospects with the Prime Minister and representatives of the Croatian government," added Shmyhal.
