A day after a video surfaced showing Russian troops raising the Russian flag in the gray zone near the border in the Chernihiv region, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine published a video where a drone destroys the flag on November 16.
“Upon detecting the Russian symbols, border guards promptly deployed drones that accurately struck and eliminated the occupiers' 'rags.'
At the same time, reconnaissance indicated that the Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group had left the area before the flags were removed, not daring to take further action,” the service stated in its message accompanying the video.
“This is yet another failed attempt by the enemy to impose their 'victories' and is nothing more than a psychological trick that lacks military significance,” the message continued.
Russian military bloggers had published a video the day before showing Russian troops raising a flag on a bridge over the Sudost River near the border settlement of Hremiach, claiming they had entered Hremiach and Muravy.
The spokesperson for the border service refuted the claim of Russian troops entering the settlements and stated that they had not crossed the bridge.
Spokesperson Andrii Demchenko added that Ukraine has deployed additional forces in the area to counter potential sabotage from Russia.
