The Ministry of Defense has codified and approved the use of the remotely controlled combat module Wolly within the Defense Forces units. This was reported by the defense agency on Saturday, December 21.

It is known that the module is equipped with:

  • a 7.62 or 12.7 mm machine gun with an automatic ammunition feed system,
  • a thermal imager,
  • a system for automatic detection, recognition, and tracking of targets.

The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that Ukrainian manufacturers have implemented technological solutions in the combat module based on requests from the military and the real combat experience of Ukrainian defenders.

A number of proposals regarding the control methods of the module and the automation of certain processes for its practical application were taken into account,” noted Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenko.

Additionally, Wolly is easy to transport, as the module is relatively lightweight, allowing it to be delivered to the installation site by a single serviceman. The battery charge lasts for several days of operation.

Ukrainian-made weaponry

It is worth recalling that on December 16, it was announced that the new Ukrainian drone missile "Peklo" had entered serial production. At that time, about 100 missiles had already been produced in Ukraine.

It was also reported that Ukraine has developed laser weaponry capable of downing aircraft. The Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces stated that Ukraine has become the fifth country in the world with this type of weaponry.
