The Hoshchansky District Court found local resident Mykola Anisimov guilty of evading mobilization. The accused received a military summons twice but ignored it each time, citing alleged health issues. As a result, he was sentenced to four years in prison.
According to the court ruling dated November 19, in the fall of 2024, conscript Mykola Anisimov received a military summons, which required him to report to the assembly point on April 11 for further deployment. Despite being previously tried for evasion of mobilization on January 30, 2024, he once again ignored the summons and did not appear at the specified address.
Mykola Anisimov did not admit his guilt and claimed he had a poor state of health. According to him, the military medical commission deemed him fit for service, but he disagreed with this decision and submitted a statement to the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCRSS) refusing to serve under mobilization. The accused asserts that he did not seek medical assistance for his chronic illnesses and treats himself, purchasing medications based on prescriptions written for him earlier, due to his distrust of doctors. He provided no documents to confirm his diagnoses.
Judge Yulia Olenych found Mykola Anisimov guilty under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (evasion of conscription during mobilization) and imposed a sentence of four years of imprisonment. The decision can still be appealed in the appellate court.
