Zelensky: By brandishing the "Oreshnik," Putin aims to undermine Trump's efforts to end the war.

According to Zelensky, Putin was "promoting" "his willingness to kill and destroy."
Зеленский: размахивая «Орехом», Путин пытается сорвать усилия Трампа по окончанию войны.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on Putin's statements at the CSTO summit in Kazakhstan, where the Kremlin dictator once again spoke about the new "Oreshnik" missile and threatened new strikes, including on "decision-making centers" in Kyiv.

According to Zelensky, Putin was "advertising" his "readiness to kill and destroy."

"Right now, he can only wave his 'Oreshnik' to undermine President Trump's efforts that will certainly follow the inauguration. Putin wants to escalate the situation now so that President Trump cannot succeed—so he cannot end the war," Zelensky stated in his evening video address.

"Putin is the sole culprit of this war and the only one who believes in it. That is why Putin's escalation now is pressure to eventually force the American President to accept Russia's terms," Zelensky added.

Donald Trump claimed during his campaign that he could quickly bring an end to the war in Ukraine.

On November 21, Putin presented the Storm Shadow strike as a reason for launching a new ballistic missile, "Oreshnik," against Dnipro.

Speaking in Kazakhstan, Putin threatened new strikes with "Oreshnik" missiles on Ukraine in response to its use of long-range weapons.

He stated that if "Oreshnik" were used en masse, the strike's power would be comparable to that of nuclear weapons.

At the same time, Putin threatened strikes with "Oreshnik" on "decision-making centers in Kyiv." According to him, the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense of Russia are currently "selecting targets for strikes on the territory of Ukraine."

He claims that serial production of the "Oreshnik" has already begun.

However, media outlets, citing American sources, previously reported that Moscow has only a few such missiles at its disposal.
