"If there are no negotiations by summer": Budanov issued a concerning forecast about the war.

The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, warned that serious negotiations regarding the end of the war should begin by summer, as processes may start that threaten Ukraine's existence.

According to the publication, a closed meeting recently took place in the Rada. The leaders of the parliament and factions invited the command of the Defense Forces to understand the real state of affairs in the war.

“At first, the representatives of the General Staff spoke in a complicated but very interesting manner. Then there were various other reports. But what stood out the most was Budanov's response. Someone asked him how much time we have left. And Kyrylo, with his cold smile, said: ‘If there are no serious negotiations by summer, then very dangerous processes may start that threaten the very existence of Ukraine.’ Everyone exchanged glances and fell silent. In the meantime, the authorities are carefully assessing the risks of the negotiation process and the likely reaction of society to the decisions made.

“We currently have two major tasks. To try to achieve something significant and unprecedented. Perhaps to secure some agreement on guarantees with the USA that would be ratified by Congress. No one in the world has anything like this, and it would send a serious signal.
