After all, she explains, Ukraine must be accepted properly in the world, and it needs to represent itself at this level as well.
“Today, our higher education institutions and research organizations have no other option but to travel, negotiate, and secure grants because funding is nonexistent. And without international activity today, it is simply impossible,” emphasizes Inna Novikova.
Yes, she observes, education is sometimes used as a means to defer mobilization, but that's not the only thing happening. According to the professor, there is a genuine understanding that education is necessary, that the world is changing, and even older individuals are pursuing university degrees, along with those seeking a second education to change or expand their career fields.
“This year has been tough; the admissions campaign was very challenging, conditions changed, and it was a difficult campaign, but I can’t say that there were no students. I would like to see more, more motivated individuals, and even more. In fact, adults are enrolling in higher education and taking (editor's note – exams) now, there is motivation,” shares Inna Novikova.
