Ukrainian military forces conducted a cleanup of enemy positions in the Kursk region, inflicting significant losses on the Russians. This was reported on Tuesday, January 28, by the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Soldiers of the 8th Special Operations Regiment carried out a cleanup of enemy positions during special operations in the Kursk region. Ukrainian fighters inflicted significant casualties on the adversary and seized important trophies.
“During the battle, SSO operators eliminated two North Korean soldiers. Additionally, with the help of drone drops, our warriors destroyed 7 occupiers, and another 10 were injured,” the report states.

“The trophies obtained, including equipment and documents, will provide crucial information about the adversary’s tactics and resources,” the SSO adds.
As a reminder, on January 25, there were 167 combat engagements at the front, during which Ukrainian forces managed to hit a drone control point of the Russian military.
On the same day, it was reported that soldiers of the 82nd Separate Air Assault Brigade tracked Russian troops in the Kursk region who were killing Ukrainian prisoners of war.
