During the night, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using missiles and 122 drones.

In the early hours of Wednesday, November 20, Russian forces once again attacked Ukraine with strike drones and missiles. Ukrainian defenders shot down 56 kamikaze drones and two missiles. This was reported by the press service of the Air Forces.

It is noted that the Russians launched 122 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and unidentified drones from the regions of Kursk, Oryol, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. Additionally, the occupiers struck with an S-300 guided missile from Belgorod at Kharkiv region, and fired five guided air-to-surface missiles X-59/69 at Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions.

As of 11:00 AM, the Air Forces confirmed the downing of two guided air-to-surface missiles X-59/69 and 56 Russian drones, with 58 drones being lost in specific locations, while another six exited Ukraine's airspace heading toward Russia and Belarus.

The air defense was active in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Kharkiv regions.

“The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine,” the statement reads.

In Kyiv, debris from downed UAVs damaged a vehicle in the Podilskyi district. Additionally, the shockwave in this area shattered windows in a non-residential building. In the Obolon district, remnants fell on open ground.

In Zaporizhzhia region, according to data from OVA head Ivan Fedorov, there were 22 reports of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure due to shelling. There are no casualties.

In Kherson, Russian forces struck a multi-story building in the Shumenskyi microdistrict at night. As a result of the strike, one of the apartments was nearly completely destroyed. According to the mayor Roman Mrochk, the residents of the apartment were unharmed but greatly frightened.

It is worth noting that on the night of Tuesday, November 19, the Russians launched 87 drones at Ukraine. The Defense Forces destroyed 51 UAVs, while another 30 enemy drones were lost in various regions.
