On the night of Tuesday, January 28, Russian military forces launched an attack on Ukraine using a hundred strike drones and imitation drones. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the night, Russian troops targeted Ukraine with drones from the following directions: Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, Milleryovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. Air defense forces destroyed 65 drones in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson regions.
Additionally, 28 enemy drones were lost in specific locations, with two of them heading towards Russia and Belarus.
As a result of the drone attack, buildings of private enterprises, infrastructure facilities, multi-apartment and private houses, as well as vehicles were damaged.
“So far, there are no casualties; assistance is being provided to those affected. Special services are addressing the consequences of the enemy attack in Odesa, Kyiv, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions,” they added in the report.
In the Kyiv region, a retro car museum caught fire due to falling debris from an enemy drone. Some cars in the museum's hangar were destroyed and damaged.
In the Uman district, drones damaged a utility company. In Odesa, as a result of the drone attack, houses were damaged, and four residents sustained injuries.
It was also reported that during the night, Russian forces struck a civilian enterprise in the Novobavarsky district of Kharkiv using drones.
