In Ukraine, on January 30, the new film by French director Christophe Honoré, "My Marcello," will premiere. This unconventional biopic explores the life of Marcello Mastroianni, a cinema icon, three-time Oscar nominee, and the alter ego of Federico Fellini.

The story centers around actress Chiara, daughter of film stars Marcello Mastroianni and Catherine Deneuve, who is tired of being compared to her parents. After being asked to perform "like Mastroianni" during auditions, she literally transforms into her late father. The woman is convincing in this role and even insists that people call her "Marcello." Her mother, ex-husband, and family friends are concerned about these transformations and follow Chiara to persuade her to return to her own identity.

A highlight of this film is that several French movie stars play themselves: Chiara Mastroianni ("All Songs About Love," "Nowhere"), Catherine Deneuve ("The Beautiful Day," "Indochine," "8 Women"), Fabrice Luchini ("Full Moon Nights"), Melvil Poupaud ("My Crime," "And Yet Lawrence"), and Nicole Garcia ("Lupin").

The film was produced by the creators of the Oscar-winning movie "Anatomy of a Fall," with costume designer Pascale Chavanne, a two-time César Award winner known for her work on Leos Carax's "Annette," Roman Polanski's "An Officer and a Spy," as well as several films by François Ozon ("My Crime," "Frantz," "8 Women"). The film was made with the support of the fashion house Chanel.

While waiting for this film to be released, there's no need to be bored! You can find global and Ukrainian film premieres, timeless classics, cult series, and other unique cinematic offerings at the online cinema SWEET.TV. With SWEET.TV, your evening is guaranteed to be interesting!

Christophe Honoré, the film's director, was inspired to create it by a photograph of Chiara taken in 2011 for Elle magazine, where she posed in her father's likeness.

The world premiere of the film took place in the main competition at this year's Cannes Film Festival, in the year that would have marked Marcello Mastroianni's 100th birthday.

The film has received very mixed reviews, but it is undoubtedly worth watching to form your own opinion about this unique cinematic experience.
