The High Anti-Corruption Court has closed the case regarding the ban on the sale of Medvedchuk's assets.

The agency for asset recovery and management intends to file a cassation appeal.
ВАКС завершил дело о запрете продажи активов Медведчука.

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court closed the proceedings on January 23 regarding the prohibition of selling the seized assets of state traitor, former Member of Parliament Viktor Medvedchuk.

Elena Duma, head of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency, informed Suspilne about this.

The agency attempted to appeal the VAKS decision from December 25, 2024, which stated that the assets of "Putin's godfather" were allegedly being sold at undervalued prices, and that the process "prevented future nationalization."

ARMA pointed out that individuals who paid for the seized assets through Prozorro have yet to receive them. The agency also insists that the valuable property of the traitor should be sold now, while it still retains its value. Furthermore, the funds are directed towards strengthening the Defense Forces.

Representatives from the Ministry of Justice were present at the VAKS meeting, advocating for a ban on the sale of Medvedchuk's assets.

ARMA promises to file a cassation appeal.

"What we need is to obtain the full text of today’s decision from the Appeals Chamber of VAKS so that we can legally submit a statement to the Supreme Court of Ukraine," Duma stated.

According to her, VAKS is restricting the criminal process, delaying the case, which could lead to negative consequences, including the inability to sell the state traitor's property and allowing Medvedchuk to defend his interests in European courts.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the Asset Recovery and Management Agency sold the last watch of state traitor Viktor Medvedchuk at auction.
