“Why does Trump emphasize that the war could become even more horrific, potentially escalating with many casualties? To justify why he wants to end the war. Why is he in a hurry? It needs to be concluded, even possibly on terms that Ukraine does not agree with. This is a counterargument if, for instance, Ukraine is not satisfied with certain agreements or if Ukraine doesn't receive what it currently offers or even demands,” explains Vadim Karasev.

The second point he notes is that what is happening on the battlefield is becoming increasingly challenging for Ukraine. In one interview, the expert recalls, Zelensky mentioned that he tasked the command with stabilizing the front, acknowledging that the Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot hold onto anything to stop the enemy's advance.

According to him, we know the situation in Kurakhove, and the Russians are already shelling the Dnipropetrovsk region with KABs, indicating that they can reach further, not to mention other areas on the front where the situation is also difficult.

“The third point is that Russia is advancing. If the situation were simply stagnant, with a positional stalemate on the battlefield, that would be one story. But if we see constant pressure and offensive actions along the front line... And this is occurring in many sectors,” emphasizes Vadim Karasev.
