In 2025, the Ministry of Energy and other responsible agencies have been tasked with bringing nearly 900 MW of distributed generation capacity into operation.

In 2024, 233 generation units with a capacity exceeding 830 MW were connected. This predominantly involves gas generation, specifically gas turbine, gas piston, and cogeneration units.
Additionally, last year, approximately 4 GW of thermal and hydroelectric capacity was restored. This year, another 3 GW is planned to be restored.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the Netherlands will provide Ukraine with an additional 27 million euros. These funds will be directed towards strengthening the energy system.
