Ukraine reported nearly 1,000 new tuberculosis cases within the past month.
In Ukraine, December 2024 saw 998 new cases of tuberculosis reported. During the same period, 1196 patients successfully recovered from the disease. This information was provided by the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health on Wednesday, as reported by UNN.

According to the Center for Public Health, in December 2024, Ukraine registered 1290 individuals with tuberculosis (TB):
- 998 new cases;
- 236 patients with a relapse;
- 56 - others (including individuals who resumed treatment; patients with an unknown history of previous treatment).
Out of the total, 216 individuals were reported to have drug-resistant forms of tuberculosis.
Among the 1217 people with tuberculosis, 1217 had pulmonary forms of the disease, while 73 had extrapulmonary forms.
Of the overall number, 998 men and 292 women are affected by tuberculosis.
189 patients were reported to be HIV-positive.
In December 2024, 1196 individuals were cured of tuberculosis.
