In Ternopil, an accident involving a minibus on the dam resulted in injuries to passengers.

A route bus was involved in a serious accident in Ternopil on the dam of the reservoir. The incident occurred during the morning rush hour. The public transport vehicle collided with an electric pole. Passengers in the bus were injured, and a child was taken to the hospital by an ambulance team.

The police in Ternopil region informed ZAXID.NET that the accident in the city center on the dam of Ternopil reservoir happened at 7:30 AM on November 14. The route taxi No. 15 crashed into an electric pole. According to police spokesperson Serhiy Kreta, patrol officers were dispatched to the scene to document the accident.

According to him, the accident occurred at 7:30 AM. It was route taxi No. 15. The bus driver stated that he hit the pole because another vehicle cut him off. To avoid a more severe collision, the man swerved the steering wheel to the right.

According to the police, initially, none of the passengers reported any injuries. Those who were on the bus transferred to another form of public transport. However, later on, injured individuals began arriving at the hospital.

“At 10:00 AM, a 15-year-old boy sought help at one of the medical facilities in Ternopil; he was in the bus at the time of the accident. Doctors diagnosed him with a concussion. Currently, medical staff continue to examine him,” said Serhiy Kreta.

At this time, law enforcement has opened a criminal investigation regarding the accident under part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of traffic regulations). Police are using surveillance cameras to identify the driver of the vehicle that cut off the route taxi. The offender will face a fine.
