An explosion occurred at a military factory in Spain, resulting in multiple injuries.
Six employees aged between 30 and 52 were injured as a result of an explosion at the Rheinmetall military factory in Spain on Thursday, January 30. This is reported by Infobae.
The tragic incident occurred on January 30 around 4:20 PM in the Javali Viejo area. The explosion was reported at the Rheinmetall Expal Munitions factory, which specializes in the production of artillery shells, mortar rounds, and medium-caliber projectiles, as well as rocket launch systems.
As a result of the explosion, six men aged between 30 and 52 were injured. Five of them were hospitalized in Murcian hospitals. It is also known that the detonation at the factory caused two fires, one of which engulfed approximately 1000 m2, while the other covered around 2000 m2 of nearby shrubs.
Rheinmetall is a German corporation and one of the largest manufacturers of military equipment and weapons in Germany and Europe. Rheinmetall has also received an order to construct a shell manufacturing plant in Ukraine.
