In Odesa, police discovered the body of a one-year-old boy in a freezer.

In an apartment in the Peresyp district of Odesa, law enforcement officers discovered the body of a child aged 1 year and 3 months in a freezer. This was reported by the Odesa police press service on Saturday, February 1.

Police established that the boy lived with his 1-year-older sister, their 18-year-old mother, and her 44-year-old partner. The man had a history of multiple convictions.

“Investigators are working with the mother and the man. The two-year-old girl has been removed from the family and temporarily placed in a hospital,” the report states.

The boy's body has been sent for forensic examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Law enforcement has entered information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under paragraph 2 of part 2 of Article 115 (intentional murder of a minor) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Investigative actions are ongoing.
