"Ukrzaliznytsia" together with its Slovak colleagues will launch a new route to Bratislava starting December 15.

It is noted that the route to the capital of Slovakia will be serviced by the following trains:
"This transfer route via the Chop station will connect Kyiv, Lviv, and Mukachevo with Bratislava and other major cities in Slovakia, including Košice, Žilina, Trnava, Trenčín, and Poprad," the statement reads.
According to the carrier, the train will depart from Kyiv at 19:57, arriving at Chop station at 07:50. In Chop, passengers will transfer to the Slovak railway train No. 617/961, which departs at 09:59. Arrival in Košice is at 13:18, and in Bratislava at 19:33.
In the return direction, the train will leave the capital of Slovakia at 11:27, arriving in Chop at 21:41. Boarding for the train to Kyiv will be at 22:38.
"The journey between Kyiv and Chop during the night will be provided by sleeping cars of 'Ukrzaliznytsia', while the daytime segment on the route Chop – Bratislava will feature sitting cars of the Slovak railway," the company stated.
It is emphasized that the first train from Kyiv will depart on December 15. Ticket sales for this train will open, along with other international connections, 20 days in advance.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the first train may depart via the Euro-gauge from Uzhhorod as early as next year. The construction of the Euro-gauge line on the Chop – Uzhhorod section is planned to be completed by the beginning of Q3 2025.
