The Ukrainian startup Bavovna.AI, a developer of autonomous navigation systems for drones, has successfully closed a late-seed round, raising $1.7 million. In total, the company has secured $2.7 million and completed its seed funding stage. The lead investor is Presto Tech Horizons, with additional funding from Network VC, Allied VC, and several private investors.
This information is detailed in a press release from Bavovna.AI.
The company is based in the USA. With the raised funds, Bavovna.AI plans to scale its production in North America and countries across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, as well as enhance its product lines and explore new areas of development in both defense and commercial sectors.
Presto Tech Horizons has experience investing in deep-tech and dual-use technologies. The company provides Bavovna.AI not only with financial support but also access to a vast network of clients and partners in both commercial and defense sectors.
Bavovna's AI-based dual-use technologies enable safe and accurate operations in environments without GPS and in the presence of electronic warfare (EW) threats, without maps or direct communication with the drone itself. Bavovna products address critical challenges faced by military and commercial drone operators in air, ground, and underwater domains.
Bavovna is the first among Ukrainian startups to join the U.S. military program Air Force Labs Masschallenge, which works with miltech projects and is funded by the U.S. government.
