Ukrainian soldiers will be trained for extreme conditions under a new standard, according to the Ministry of Defense.

It is noted that the implementation of such a standard brings Ukraine closer to the "principles of NATO."

Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will undergo training for actions in extreme conditions according to a new standard.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.

It is noted that the defenders will receive specialized training in the following key areas:

  • search and rescue operations;
  • survival;
  • avoiding capture;
  • resilience in captivity;
  • evacuation training;
  • retraining.

"They will learn to survive in various environments: Arctic, tropical, mountainous, and desert regions. Special attention will be given to organizing search and rescue operations for the effective evacuation of isolated personnel," the statement reads.

Additionally, the standard includes provisions for specialized training and SERE instructor training.

"The risk of becoming isolated or carrying out combat missions under difficult circumstances accompanies military service. Our goal is to equip soldiers with the necessary knowledge and prepare instructors who will help them endure these challenges. At the same time, the implementation of such a standard brings us closer to NATO principles," stated Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klymenko.
