In Odesa, among the injured following an enemy strike, there is a 9-year-old boy who is in stable condition, as well as a 22-year-old man who sustained serious injuries. This was reported by the chairman of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleg Kiper, according to UNN.
Details
On November 14, Odesa was subjected to a massive enemy shelling, resulting in at least 8 people being injured. Among the wounded is a child. All victims are receiving necessary medical assistance in the city's hospitals.
As a result of the attack, one of the apartment buildings in the city center was destroyed, and several apartments caught fire. The blaze also engulfed around 30 vehicles and partially damaged a two-story house and the grounds of a public establishment.
Additionally, the shelling damaged a pipeline that supplies heat to a large part of the city. Consequently, the operation of the boiler house that provided heating for 220 apartment buildings as well as several schools and kindergartens has been temporarily halted. This boiler house also serviced a maternity hospital, where 28 women and 22 newborns were present at the time of the attack. Fortunately, thanks to existing backup systems, the facility is capable of autonomously maintaining the necessary level of heat.
All emergency services - rescuers, utility workers, and law enforcement - are currently working at the scene.
