In the evening of January 4, Russians dropped four KAB bombs on the border town of Semenivka in Chernihiv Oblast. They targeted the central part of the city, specifically a residential area.
This was reported by the head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus.
By the morning of January 5, the number of injured had risen to nine, including two children aged 8 and 13. All were hospitalized in a nearby community hospital, with one person transferred to the regional hospital.
The damage is significant: administrative buildings, the local hospital (not for the first time), two five-story apartment buildings, several private residences, and infrastructure facilities. Today, efforts are underway to secure the damage in areas where the destruction is not critical, with a priority on housing.
During the night, 24 patients from the local territorial center were evacuated from Semenivka – elderly individuals were transferred to a suitable facility in Chernihiv.
