A shooting occurred at a bakery in the heart of Kyiv.

On Tuesday, January 28, a shooting occurred in a café in the center of Kyiv. As a result, a 68-year-old man was injured, reported the press service of the Kyiv police.

According to law enforcement, the incident took place around 16:20 on January 28 in one of the central cafés. Later, on the page of the bakery "Zavertaylo," it was reported that the shooting occurred in their establishment near St. Sophia Cathedral.

“It has been established that a conflict arose between the 68-year-old café patron and other individuals, during which one of the participants, preliminarily using traumatic weapons, fired several shots at the elderly man,” law enforcement officials reported.

The injured man sustained superficial wounds. He was hospitalized – according to the police, his life is not in danger.

After the man opened fire, he fled the scene. Currently, law enforcement is searching for him.
