In the early hours of Sunday, December 22, drones once again attacked an oil depot in the Russian city of Oryol. The attack resulted in a fire breaking out at the site. This was reported by the governor of the Oryol region, Andrey Klichkov.
During the night, Andrey Klichkov announced that drones targeted a fuel infrastructure facility in the village of Stalny Kyn under Oryol. By morning, he stated that the attack had been "repelled." According to him, Russian air defense allegedly shot down 20 strike drones over the Oryol region.
“The main goal of the enemy is the fuel and energy infrastructure. Fortunately, due to quick response, the consequences of the attack were avoided – the fire was promptly localized and has now been completely extinguished,” said Andrey Klichkov.
At the same time, several Russian Telegram channels, including Astra, published videos of the drone attack on the oil depot.

Additionally, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the downing of 42 UAVs. Allegedly, 20 drones were destroyed over the territory of the Oryol region, eight strike drones over the territories of Rostov and Bryansk regions, five over the Kursk region, and one drone was reportedly downed over the Krasnodar region.
Recall that the oil depot near Oryol was already targeted by strike drones a week ago. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the impact on the Linear Production Dispatch Station (LPDS) "Stalny Kyn," which supplies fuel products for the Russian army.
