The CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella, stated that he does not see a threat from the recent success of the Chinese artificial intelligence startup DeepSeek. He believes it represents true innovation.

This was reported in an article by Fortune.

Nadella noted that DeepSeek has demonstrated its ability to compete with American artificial intelligence, leading to a significant drop in the stock prices of U.S. companies. He emphasized that DeepSeek's efforts will be widely utilized across all artificial intelligence platforms.

The company director also compared the technology to the transition of data storage from servers to the cloud. He was impressed by the rapid development and power of artificial intelligence models.

"AI will become much more widespread, and thus, for a hyperscaler like us, a provider of PC platforms, this is all good news, as far as I can tell," Nadella remarked.

As a reminder: Mind reported that DeepSeek is a startup based in Hangzhou, with Liang Wenfeng, one of the co-founders of the hedge fund High-Flyer, listed as the controlling shareholder according to Chinese corporate documents. DeepSeek has introduced a new AI bot that requires significantly lower costs while outperforming leading American developments in many aspects.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that OpenAI introduced the first automated AI agent – capable of independently visiting various web pages and completing tasks.
