The Halytskyi District Court has issued a verdict for Yulia Kulik, a student at the Lviv Professional College of Fashion Industry, who, out of jealousy, assaulted her boyfriend with a bouquet of roses and a metal rod. The court has sentenced her to 100 hours of community service.
According to the case materials, the incident occurred on the evening of December 6 at St. Theodore Square. During a quarrel fueled by jealousy, Yulia Kulik struck her boyfriend on the head, arms, and back with a bouquet of roses, after which she hit him another 10 times with an iron rod.
As a result, the young man sustained minor injuries, including bruises, abrasions, scratches, and subcutaneous hemorrhages. He documented his injuries and reported the incident to the police.
The girl did not appear in court but submitted a statement acknowledging her guilt and expressing remorse for her actions. The case was considered under part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (minor bodily harm).
Taking into account the circumstances of the case, Judge Oleksandr Kitov found Yulia Kulik guilty and imposed a sentence of 100 hours of community service. The verdict can be appealed in a higher court.
