The Department of Urban Mobility and Street Infrastructure of the Lviv City Council has announced a competition to select carriers for the operation of two new city routes. This concerns buses No. 50 and 64.
As stated in the announcement, the prospective carrier must ensure the operation of M3 category buses that meet at least Euro-4 standards and can accommodate 35 passengers.
List of routes:
Bus No. 50 is expected to run with an interval of 20-25 minutes, while bus No. 64 will have intervals of 33-35 minutes. The prospective carrier must ensure that 50% of the buses are accessible for passengers with disabilities and install equipment for a full-fledged cashless payment system and electronic ticketing. Additionally, the carrier must provide a GPS system in all buses on their route, which will transmit data to the Lviv Transport Management Center of LKP "Lvivavtodor".
Furthermore, it is worth noting that in 2016, a bus route operated in test mode to the hospital. However, at that time, the police did not approve the traffic scheme, arguing that the significant slopes of the streets leading to the hospital were not suitable for public transport.
