In the city of Zhezkazgan on Saturday, January 25, six people were injured due to an explosion and the collapse of a hangar at an oil depot. This is reported by Tengrinews.

On Saturday, three special-purpose vehicles caught fire at the Kazakh oil depot. Subsequently, an explosion of a gas-air mixture occurred, leading to the collapse of the hangar. By the time firefighters arrived, the fire had spread over an area of 100 m2.

According to the press service of the Ulitau region health department, as a result of the incident, six people were injured, five of whom were hospitalized. Two individuals are in intensive care.

One of them is in serious condition, while the other is assessed as moderately severe. There are also two women and a man in the hospital, and their condition is considered stable,” the statement adds.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.

It is worth noting that in Pakistan, an accident occurred at a local mine, resulting in the deaths of over a dozen people. On Sunday, January 12, rescuers were able to reach the bodies of the deceased, which were located 1500 m underground.
