In Kamianets-Podilskyi, a MAN truck driver fatally struck a pensioner.

On the morning of November 26, in Kamianets-Podilskyi, a MAN truck driver struck a 78-year-old pensioner who was crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing. The victim succumbed to his injuries. This was reported by the regional police press service.

The fatal accident occurred around 09:50 on Krypiakevycha Street. According to the investigation, a 55-year-old resident of Chernivtsi, who was driving the MAN truck, hit the 78-year-old man at the unregulated pedestrian crossing. The victim died at the scene.

The police have initiated a criminal proceeding under part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation by individuals that caused the death of the victim) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The penalty for this article ranges from three to eight years of imprisonment.
