In December 2024, Ukraine secured $9.2 billion in international financial assistance. This is a record high.

The last time international support exceeded the $9 billion mark in a month was in April of the previous year. Regarding financial results: the state budget for 2024 has been executed. All priority expenditures have been funded, reported Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

“According to the State Treasury, all payments that were submitted have been processed. The balance on the single treasury account exceeds 100 billion UAH. On foreign currency accounts, there are over 163 billion UAH. These are record figures,” emphasized the Prime Minister.

Approximately 2.2 trillion UAH in taxes, fees, and mandatory payments have been received into the general fund of the state budget. In total, over 3.1 trillion UAH has been received into both the general and special funds.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that in 2024, Ukraine attracted $41.7 billion in external financing, of which $12.6 billion are non-repayable grants. The state also received the first tranche, which will be secured by future revenues from frozen assets of the Russian Federation.
