A 21-year-old motorcyclist from Rivne region died in a traffic accident in Volyn.

Around midnight on January 7, a traffic accident occurred in the Kamen-Kashirsky district, resulting in the death of a 21-year-old motorcyclist. Currently, law enforcement is determining all the circumstances of the incident. This is reported by the press service of the regional police.

According to the investigation, between the villages of Sudche and Berezna Volya, a 21-year-old resident of Rivne region lost control of his Geon motorcycle and veered into a ditch. The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

As clarified by Volyn police spokesperson Marina Baldych, at the time of the accident, the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet.

Investigators have initiated criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules resulting in death). The investigation is ongoing.
