The largest electricity suppliers were: Hungary (39%), Slovakia (23%), Romania (18%), Poland (14%), and Moldova (5%).

The increase in imports has been crucial for stabilizing the energy system and meeting the growing demand amid the energy crisis.

In December 2024, Ukraine boosted its electricity imports by 2.6 times compared to November 2024, exceeding 430,000 MWh.

Hungary accounted for the largest share of imports at 35%. Slovakia came in second with 25%. The most significant monthly increase in imports was from Hungary, which quadrupled to 152,000 MWh.

Overall, electricity exports in 2024 remained nearly at the same level as in 2023, totaling 366,000 MWh. The highest electricity supply for the year occurred in March, amounting to 154,000 MWh.
