In 2024, Ukraine imported goods worth $70.7 billion, primarily from China and Poland.

The trade turnover reached $112.3 billion, reflecting a 13% increase compared to 2023.

In 2024, Ukraine's trade turnover reached $112.3 billion, representing a 13% increase from 2023, when it was $99.4 billion.

This was reported by the press service of the State Customs Service.

Exports amounted to $41.6 billion, while imports totaled $70.7 billion. Notably, the taxable imports reached $57.4 billion, accounting for 81% of the total imported goods. The tax burden per kilogram of taxable imports in 2024 was $0.51 per kg, which is 5% higher than in 2023.

The largest imports came from China at $14.4 billion, Poland at $7 billion, and Germany at $5.4 billion. The top export destinations from Ukraine included Poland at $4.7 billion, Spain at $2.9 billion, and Germany at $2.8 billion.

In 2024, 65% of the total imported goods were categorized as follows:

  • machinery, equipment, and transport – $25 billion. The budget received 172.3 billion UAH, which is 29% of customs duties;
  • chemical industry products – $11.7 billion. The budget received 87.7 billion UAH, which is 15% of customs duties;
  • fuel and energy – $8.9 billion. The budget received 157.6 billion UAH, which is 27% of customs duties.

The top three exported goods from Ukraine were:

  • food products – $24.6 billion;
  • metals and metal products – $4.4 billion;
  • machinery, equipment, and transport – $3.5 billion.

Throughout 2024, when exporting goods subject to export duties, the budget received 311.3 million UAH from customs processing.
