Russian troops launched an attack on Ukraine in the night of Friday, January 31, using 102 strike drones and mimicry drones. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On the night of January 31, the Russians launched 102 drones from Kursk, Bryansk, Milleryovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Cape Chauda.
The air assault was repelled in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions. In total, air defense eliminated 59 drones. Additionally, 37 enemy mimicry drones were lost in specific locations.
According to the report, the regions of Sumy, Odesa, and Cherkasy were affected by the enemy attack.
The Sumy Regional Military Administration informed that the Russian army shelled the Sumy region three times on January 30 and 31. A total of 13 explosions were recorded, and three residents were injured.
Additionally, four people sustained injuries due to the nighttime attack by the Russians on Odesa. Among the injured was a surgeon who suffered a hand injury from glass shards while performing emergency surgery on another patient.
It is worth noting that on the night of Thursday, January 30, the Russians launched 81 drones against Ukraine. The attack affected the regions of Chernihiv, Sumy, Odesa, and Poltava.
