Law enforcement officials have apprehended three residents of the village of Ternovo in the Tyachiv district, who are suspected of the brutal murder of a fellow villager. The men, aged 44, 19, and 16, face the possibility of life imprisonment.

As reported by the police of the Zakarpattia region on January 28, a resident of the Tyachiv district came to them with a report about the disappearance of her 47-year-old husband. The woman stated that she had been unable to reach him for 4 days. Law enforcement officials discovered that the missing man was last seen drinking alcoholic beverages with local villagers at the home of a 44-year-old resident of Ternovo.

“Investigators found brown stains resembling blood in the house where the gathering took place. Upon entering the garage, the police discovered a bloodied chainsaw, and nearby was a checked bag containing the torso of a person without arms, legs, or a head. Amputated body parts were also found in the same space,” noted the police of the Zakarpattia region.

Together with the homeowner, law enforcement officials detained two more suspects, aged 16 and 19, and established that they attempted to dispose of the body by burning it. The detainees face life imprisonment for murder committed with particular cruelty and in conspiracy with a group of individuals.
