Taras Stepanenko has concluded his tenure with Shakhtar.

After nearly 15 years, Taras Stepanenko has decided to end his career with Donetsk's "Shakhtar".

The captain of the "miners" joined the club in May 2010.

In July of the same year, Stepanenko made his debut for the team in the Ukrainian Super Cup match against "Tavriya", which concluded with a crushing victory for "Shakhtar" with a score of 7:1.

During his 15 seasons at "Shakhtar", Taras played 439 matches across various tournaments:

• 288 games in the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL);
• 76 matches in the Champions League;
• 29 in the Europa League;
• 35 in the Ukrainian Cup;
• 11 in the Ukrainian Super Cup.

Stepanenko recorded 30 goals and 25 assists, and in over 100 matches, he took to the field wearing the captain's armband.

Together with "Shakhtar", the veteran of the Ukrainian national team won 25 trophies:

• 10 Ukrainian championship titles;
• 7 Ukrainian Cups;
• 8 Ukrainian Super Cups.

According to Turkish journalists, Stepanenko will continue his career at one of the local clubs, specifically with "Eyupspor".
