Italy has announced the allocation of €13 million as part of the Fund for Supporting Ukraine's Energy Sector.
This information is mentioned in a statement from the country's Foreign Ministry.
It is noted that the aid will be directed towards restoring the energy infrastructure that has been damaged by attacks from the Russian Federation. The decision was made on the instruction of Italy's Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani.
The ministry emphasized that this contribution confirms Italy's "ongoing support for the resilience of Ukraine's energy sector," particularly in light of the upcoming Recovery Conference in Rome next July.
"Italy's donation is a testament to global solidarity and underscores the undeniable importance of the fund in providing timely and effective assistance to Ukraine's energy sector," the Italian Foreign Ministry added.
